The past week we have been having 2-2 ship flights of AH-64 Apaches flying around town. I thought they were ferries to Ft. Polk.
Yesterday my wife saw some troop transports around town.
Today around 1030 I saw a Apache is high orbit. Then I saw one lift off from the woods and the other one start his landing pattern. While going through town there was a fuel HEMMT headed in the genral direction of the LZ.
Anyone else seeing this kind of activity?

Don't know. They have never had a summer field training here. But it could be.

We haven't seen any ground troops walking thru the neighborhoods yet.
Haven't seen anything the last couple of days in Liberty County BUT the last couple of months have seen apaches doing flyovers just south of the 787 corridor east-west axis which is more than I've seen in the last several years...
ReplyDeleteOh, almost forgot - I HAVE seen quite a bit more mil transport type vehicles on the roads in Liberty County... looks like National Guard type stuff, I guess...some tan colored, but most OD green colored... looks like fuel transports or something... usually with a 'hummer' tagging along.
