This Little Light of Mine
How many of us have heard this popular children's church song? It matters not if it was when we attended Vacation Bible School, or when our children did.
This past Sunday the lesson was from a passage in the book of Matthew Ch 5. When we covered it in class, I was again struck by how many passages of the Bible have dual meanings. It was when Jesus was talking to the disciples as he was preparing to feed & heal the multitudes.
13Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.I was struck by how this ties to our Liberty movement. We Patriots are the salt of the Earth. If we do not challenge the darkness, we will lose our flavor and be trampled under foot.
14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Just like the songs says, we must let out light shine. Not hide it under cover. Let it burn bright.
that is just what we are hoping to accomplish during PATCOM 2012. patriots will be gathering to meet and let our light of Liberty that God bestowed upon to SHINE.
WE WILL NOT HIDE.
WE WILL NOT COVER IT.
OUR LIGHT WILL CONSUME THE DARKNESS AS IT SPREADS.
