The fun we had as kids at recess.
The monkey bars, slides, merry-go-round and swings.
There was always the one kid who could roll through the obstacles like they were nothing.
Then you had some kids who try as they might, could never master them.
Even with help.
That is what we appear to have here.
Someone who was paid to play in the woods, didn't have a clue how to. Even with help.
Deputies found the
second stolen vehicle off of Old Table Rock Road. They say Whisnant abandoned
the car and took off through the woods once authorities spotted him.
The suspect came
across a U.S. Forestry Service officer as he ran. Whisnant shot and killed the
officer, says the sheriff. The Forestry Service identified him as 38-year-old
Jason Crisp, who worked with the department for 10 years. Whisnant also killed
Crisp's K-9, Maros.
