Shit, DOW alone is down +400 points. Gold is down $80. Silver is down $4.
How long is it before we start seeing these kinds of things?
Plans to put Atlanta’s public spaces under camera surveillance will move forward this week with the opening of a state-of-the-art video monitoring center.
The downtown “Video Integration Center,” funded by a mix of private donations and public money, has already given Atlanta police links to more than 100 public and private security cameras.
Chinese Made Rim Blows and Causes Rollover, MOSCOW, September 20, 2011 - At approximately 5:25 am on September 20, 2011, a gray 2007 Chevy 2500 pickup driven by Kevin Burks, 45, of Corrigan, was south-bound on US-59. Burks lost control of his truck when a rim came apart, causing the tire and the rim itself to come off the truck. Burks' vehicle left the road to the right and rolled coming to rest upside down facing north. Americare Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office and Troopers Ramey Bass and Joe Cole. Kevin Burks was treated at the scene and transported to Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin with undisclosed injuries. Traffic was not blocked during investigation and cleanup. The rim that came apart was stamped "MADE IN CHINA". A rollback wrecker from Riley Wrecker Service recovered Burks' vehicle and it will be stored in Corrigan. No citations were issued and the scene was cleared shortly after 7 am.
The total now stands at $1,059,722.17, making this the fifth money bomb in this campaign cycle to pull in more than $1 million one a single day.
“Our campaign continues to grow in strength and numbers, and the success of these truly grassroots events is a telling example of Dr. Paul’s support,” said Ron Paul 2012 Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.
“Our rising poll numbers and successful fundraising demonstrate that Dr. Paul’s strong message of Constitutionally-limited government, a traditionally Republican non-interventionist foreign policy and a return to sound money is clearly resonating with the American people.” Benton added.
The latest money bomb marked Constitution Day this past Saturday Sept 17.
The move comes amid growing levels of food poverty, fuelled by rising food prices and high rates of unemployment. Under the scheme, people whose benefits have been delayed, or have been refused crisis loans, will be referred to their local food bank. A claimant will be limited to three consecutive referrals – each time giving them enough food for three days. They will be given basics such as tinned soup, baked beans, meat, fish and pasta.
Ron Paul is riding high again after his California Straw Poll victory yesterday, but some Paul supporters are questioning why the Texas Straw Poll was cancelled for “lack of interest,” and whether it was actually killed because the Congressman would have inflicted an embarrassing defeat on Governor Rick Perry in his own state.
Becoming homecoming queen is a dream for many high school girls. But at Tarkington High School in Liberty County, some girls in the running worked to make sure one particular student was crowned.
A total of four students were vying to become the school’s homecoming queen, but they told their supporters to vote for Sydney Bloom. The 18-year-old student has Down syndrome.
It was an act of kindness and beauty, according to the school principal.
“The kids have grown up together, lived in the community together and this is a natural outpouring of their love and their sentiment for a fellow student”, said Jim Hair.
In the hours leading up to the school’s homecoming game on Friday, all eyes were on Bloom. She was named queen later in the night.

THESSALONIKI, Greece (AP) -- Greek authorities say a 55-year-old man has been hospitalized with chest burns after dousing himself with gasoline and then setting his clothes on fire. The man shouted that he was in debt as he carried out the act.
Is September 20 Greek Default Day?
If Greece is going to default, September 20th seems to be as good a day as any. Actually, it is far better than most to be GD-Day.
Two big bonds, the 4.5% of 2037 and the 4.6% of 2040 both have coupon payments due that day, totalling 769 Million Euro. So if the IMF wanted to avoid letting another billion euro go down the drain, September 20th would be a good day to do it. The IMF seems to have delayed approving another tranche for now, so Greece must already have the money for this payment?

The federal government said that unless the descendants, known as freedmen, were allowed to vote, the upcoming election wouldn't be valid.
"I urge you to consider carefully the nation's next steps in proceeding with an election that does not comply with federal law," Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs Larry Echo Hawk wrote in letter Friday to acting Chief S. Joe Crittenden. "The department will not recognize any action taken by the nation that is inconsistent with these principles and does not accord its freedmen members full rights of citizenship."
"The Cherokee Nation will not be governed by the (Bureau of Indian Affairs)," he said. "We will hold our election and continue our long legacy of responsible self-governance."
Texas Rep. Ron Paul, a doctor, was asked a hypothetical question by CNN host Wolf Blitzer about how society should respond if a healthy 30-year-old man who decided against buying health insurance suddenly goes into a coma and requires intensive care for six months. Paul--a fierce limited-government advocate-- said it shouldn't be the government's responsibility. "That's what freedom is all about, taking your own risks,"Go to the link for the rest of the article plus some CNN video.
Surrounded by barbwire fencing, the anonymous yet massive building on West Military Drive near San Antonio’s Loop 410 freeway looms mysteriously with no identifying signs of any kind. Surveillance is tight, with security cameras surrounding the under-construction building. Readers are advised not to take any photos unless you care to be detained for at least a 45-minute interrogation by the National Security Agency, as this reporter was.
There’s a strangely blurry line during such an interrogation. After viewing the five photos I’d taken of the NSA’s new Texas Cryptology Center, the NSA officer asked if I would delete them. When I asked if he was ordering me to do so, he said no; he was asking as a personal favor. I declined and was eventually released.
