Pope Francis I: The Papal Atheist & Hypocrite

Another reason why the Catholic church is nothing but an syndicated crime organization whose sole purpose is to generate revenue.

Francis wrote: “You ask me if the God of the Christians forgives those who don’t believe and who don’t seek the faith. I start by saying – and this is the fundamental thing – that God’s mercy has no limits if you go to him with a sincere and contrite heart. The issue for those who do not believe in God is to obey their conscience.
The church gripes, birches and moans as to people leaving the church.  This is a prime reason.  It goes against what we are told in in the Bible.  Here are but a few from the Bible for Salvation:

  • “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
  • “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all …” (1 Timothy 2:5)
  • “There is one body and one Spirit … one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Ephesians 4:4)
  • Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

It ain't hard to figure it out.

Local...Local...Local

We are perhaps growing into a another Great Awakening.  People are realizing that fiat money is worthless and that tagibles are the true currency.

Just as Bill and Sam preach on supporting things local, this trend is catching on like a wildfire.  Peoples eyes are opening and they are seeing that being prepared is not just something that crackpots and conspiracy folks are doing.  It is a return to yesteryear.

The above flyer came in from my county Extension Office.  If you live the in the East Texas area, you might want to thnk about attending.

In November, Henderson, Tx hold their annual Heritage Syrup Festival.  I plan on attending to see about obtaining some heirloom cane starts and browsing for some the things that the old folk will haggling over and pick up some lip smak'n homemade syrup.

DC police on the hunt for tourist

link

Washington police are operating under orders to arrest tourists and other non-residents traveling with spent bullet or shotgun casings, a crime that carries a $1,000 fine, a year in jail and a criminal record, according to a new book about the city's confusing gun laws.  "Empty shell casings are considered ammunition in Washington, D.C., so they are illegal to possess unless you are a resident and have a gun registration certificate," pens Emily Miller in her investigative book, "Emily Gets Her Gun: ... But Obama Wants to Take Yours."

A [unnamed] Lodi Police SWAT officer had a Glock 35 with a flashlight in his thigh holster at a children’s reading event when a boy managed to pull the trigger and shoot the officer,” sacramento.cbslocal.com reports. “The officer was showing off the department’s SWAT truck, vest and other gear at a children’s event called Reading Roundup on Aug. 24. ‘A small child, witnesses tell us was 6 to 8 years old, was able to walk up to the officer and was able to pull the trigger.’” The bullet hit the officer’s leg causing a minor injury—and a lot of freaked-out kids. The Circus is in Houston

Watch out for these clown if you are in Houston.

From the head clown:

Houston Police Chief Charles McClelland struck a pedestrian at a downtown intersection Wednesday morning, HPD has confirmed.  The chief was on his way to work around 8:15 when he stopped at Clay and Travis.  A spokesman said McClelland looked in all directions before turning left onto Travis.  That’s when a pedestrian stepped off the curb and was struck by the chief’s car.  The man was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital with minor injuries.

Making the Firewater Dance

About a year ago, I had a dream to offer all the great information you need to distill, but found it hard to find over the vast internet, and related books. Today Craft Distilling Academy is coming up on its one year anniversary and we couldn't be happier about the success we have seen. A few bumps in the road? Sure. A few set backs? Yeah. but at the end of the day, we have seen over 175 people in our classes, structured a book deal, and will have put on classes in 7 locations across the US.

How many of you have wanted to make your own firewater?

You would be surprised how easy it is.

The Citadel needs a distillery & a brewery.

The above is a network of craft distillers who run a Distilling 101 & a recipes class at various locations in the US.

Craft Distilling 101
These are our upcoming Classes
August 17th - Jacksonville FL
October 6th - Portland OR/Vancouver WA
October 19th - St. Louis
November 2nd - Phoenix AZ
November 16th - Denver, CO (Special 1 year Anniversary Class)

Take a chance and light the fire and the water will dance like it did for many who helped found this Nation.

Revenuers be damned.

Ammo Shortage Myth

It seems that the shortages of ammo in in the US was a .gov thing like many of us were saying.

The Canuks it appears never saw the big spike in price or supply shortage.

A classic Onion article explains that “Perky ‘Canada’ Has Own Government, Laws“. And now, it appears, Canada also has something else: ammunition for sale, and lots of it.

In perusing this Reddit thread on the ammo shortage, I was surprised to learn that Canadian Reddit users aren’t have any problems buying bulk ammo of any type, at only slightly elevated prices. User linuxbman reports that for 22LR, he’s “paying $20-$25 for a box of 500.” Another user urges fellow Canadians, “don’t mention the 1600 round crates of 5.56 for $449 that we have available everywhere.”

Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin

Backwoods Home has a good article online and in the magazine about butchering pigs by skinning, not scalding and scraping as in this post.

You don't want to be dependent on anyone for your food.

I'm not.  The above is my oldest FFA project for this year.  She caught a calf at the San Antonio Scramble this year and placed 21st out of 1500 at the Houston Livestock Show for Sr. Livestock judging and recieved a $1250 certificate towards a steer or heifer.

This enabled her to buy a animal with a good base of genetics.  She is a Beefmaster and is bred for the Texas climate.  Somefolks new to this arena need to remember this.  Breeds, animal or plant, need to be acclimated to that regoin.  what grows good here in SE Texas, might not in Washinton state.

This years project, we had bred to a huge beefmaster bull and she will calve next March for the freezer.  She is 14month old and 1000lb.

Bill continues to preach this.  Many haven't taken his advise.  He started this venture to help us and himself.  Now he is forced to go a route with it he didn't intend to.

Goes to show you you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

Same goes for some in the community.

Oh well...

I will continue to diversify and expand my capabilities.  I will buy, trade, sell, apprentice, whatever needs to be done to accomplish this.

Writing on the Wall

While this is from mid June it still shows that more units are gearing up for this style of confrontation CONUS.

 Charollte NC June10th
The following photos depict soldiers from the 252nd Combined Arms Battalion training in June for their role as a “rapid reaction force” capable of responding anywhere in the state of North Carolina within “four to eight hours with additional forces arriving within 24 to 36 hours.” The same unit trained in March to respond “to an emergency ahead of federal assets by providing site security, establishing roadblocks or checkpoints, and assisting civilian authorities in controlling civil disturbances

The exercises depicted below were held from June 10-14 at an abandoned shopping mall and a water treatment facility in Charlotte. Soldiers trained to suppress protesters who perform a sit-in as part of a fictional group called “The Pink Panthers.” According to the North Carolina National Guard, the exercise at the water treatment facility tests soldiers’ “ability to use nonlethal force to disperse a crowd of aggressors.” Photos of the exercise show soldiers
