Pleasant Suprises

The wife went grocery shopping yesterday and brought me home a present.  Shiner Beer knocks another mix out of the park.

A very nice dark amber beer brewed with peaches & pecans.  Both of them are subtle undertones.

So good, just one isn't enough.

For those peeps who can't get Shiner....Don't fear, I'll drink your share.  :)

Role Call

As it looms over our heads that, the Politburo has decided to abort the Constitution with passage of NDAA.

So out of context is this that our enemies are asking WTF?

It now appears that the traitor, socialist, etc that is sitting in the Oval Office will sign the NDAA.

30 pieces of silver, I think not.  He/they enjoys this to much.

Again with this threat looming over us, there comes a point of when to ask "Where did they go?".  Some of us takes breaks from posting as real life intrudes on us.  One that we have not heard from for months is R. Sieker at Mental Pinpricks.  Don't know if something happened or not.  Emails go unanswered.

So from time to time, a role call  might be needed to make sure no one has been Houdini'd by TPB.

Names

What's in a name?

What happens when a product is renamed?  It's usually because it was crap and it wouldn't sell.

What happens when a company renames?  Usually not much.  They got bought out, had to restructure because of financials, etc.  No biggie.

But what happens when the rename...I mean rebrand themselves after a scandal.

Ah the light comes on a little brighter now.

They have been bought out by the same people again and now carry the name of...

via Danger Room

After all that has gone on in the USA in the last week with NDAA and the drone thing in N. Dakota and this and that.  Or HERE or HERE or HERE.

Do I need to keep going?

Well you get a big stinky pile of horseshit.

It doesn't matter what you cover it with.  It stinks like horse shit under it all.

So if these folks who are all about training & such can do this to some local Iraqi

So like I posted earlier about False Beliefs.  Don't think for a minute you are exempt.

What makes you think that these guys won't do like the below pic in Iraq to US citizens?

I saw them personally light up civilian cars in the Green Zone because a car got to close as they PASSED the car.

Lost Traditions

I was talking with Bill Nye this morning about butchering hogs.  It reminded me of all the old traditions being lost.

Today, most kids if they are asked where meat comes from they will say the grocery store.  They have not a clue as to how it gets to that point.

My wife grew up more hick-i-fied than I did.  When she was 6 or 7, was her job to scrape the hair off of hogs that were being processed.  You had to do that so you could render out the lard.

They didn’t use a 55gal barrel.  Her Pappy had a 150gal cast iron kettle.  They would lower one side of the hog in, let it set and while the other sitting they would start scraping.

Can you imagine the horror of CPS if the saw a 6 year old using a 12” razor sharp butcher knife.  OMG!!!

Once they split the hog open, the casing was pulled out and taken to the creek to be washed out for sausage.  The head was cracked open for hogs head cheese.  The whole animal was used.

The same went on with deer.  At the end of the day all the deer were strung up from the 7 family hunters and the processing line began.  Again all were used.

The same thing with ducks, rabbits, squirrels, chicken, etc.

One delicacy was the squirrel brains.  My wife would remember her Granny sitting down with a plate of squirrel heads and a small metal mallet.

WHACK…WHACK…slurp.  I don’t think so.

The traditions of our ancestors are a treasure trove of information for us.  All we need to do is take the time to talk to them.  Let them mentor us.  I have also found that used book stores are a good hunting area for old books that cover these things.

Irregardless of how & where we learn them, we must not let them die.

Texas Group Sues to Allow Confederate Flag License Plates

Just like Brock said they would.

via The Blaze
The L.A. Times reports the Texas division of the group called Sons of Confederate Veterans, a 30,000-member group out of Tennessee, is now filing suit saying the state DMV infringed on the group’s right to free speech by rejecting their plate.

“The 1st Amendment clearly protects controversial speech,” the group said in a statement to the Times. It cited the DMV board’s approval of a plate that “is offensive to Native Americans” because it honors the Buffalo Soldiers, the all-black cavalry that fought Native Americans in the 1800s.

“The board seeks to bar the Texas SCV from expressing their viewpoint while allowing all other groups to express their viewpoint. This type of restriction is exactly the type which the 1st Amendment is designed to erase,” the statement said.

I UNDERSTAND HIM COMPLETELY

Hi Sweetheart,

I am sorry about getting into an argument about putting up the Christmas lights.

I guess that sometimes I feel like you are pushing me too hard when you want something.

I realize that I was wrong and I am apologizing for being such a hard-headed guy.

All I want is for you to be happy and be able to enjoy the holiday season.

Nothing brightens the Christmas spirit like Christmas lights!

I took the time to hang the lights for you today and now I will be off to go hunting.

Again, I am very sorry for the way I acted yesterday.

I'll be home later.

Love you……

False Beliefs

AGM-114 Guidance Unit
If you believe for a minute that our PTB will not hurt US citizens in their quest for more power, then you are living in a fantasy world.

All you have to do is look at what is happening all around the world.

Danger Room has a post up this morning about the "secret drone war" in the NWT of Pakistan.  They don't care if they kill children, blow up houses, etc.

The epicenter of global terrorism, and the CIA's highly classified drone war against extremist groups, is a black hole on the map -- a region of Pakistan off limits to outsiders, and especially Westerners. It’s an area so dangerous that even the Pakistani military avoids it. The CIA may have launched 70 drone strikes in tribal Pakistan in 2011 alone. But Americans, like the rest of the world, have no idea what the area looks like, or who lives there.

Before posting Behram's photos we took a number of measures to confirm as best we could what was being shown. We verified Behram’s bona fides with other news organizations. We sifted through the images, tossing out any pictures that couldn’t correlate with previously reported drone attacks. Then we grilled Behram in a series of lengthy Skype interviews from Pakistan, translated by Akbar, about the circumstances surrounding each of the images.

We see it everyday in the news as these " goat herders" and "insurgents" are just trying to wage a media war against the righteous govt. of the United States.  Just ask the Libyans

Hell, the folks in North Dakota saw just this happen this past weekend.  All for some missing cows.  The only thing missing was the Hellfires on the drone.

David Koresh thought the same thing.  Just like Randy Weaver at Ruby Ridge.

Just give it some time.

Do you think that's to tame?????

So what would you ask them?

US proposes unmanned border crossing with Mexico

By the spring, kiosks could open up in Big Bend National Park allowing people from the tiny Mexican town of Boquillas del Carmen to scan their identity documents and talk to a customs officer in another location, at least 100 miles away.

The crossing, which would be the nation's first such port of entry with Mexico, has sparked opposition from some who see it as counterintuitive in these days of heightened border security. Supporters say the crossing would give the isolated Mexican town long-awaited access to U.S. commerce, improve conservation efforts and be an unlikely target for criminal operations.

"People that want to be engaged in illegal activities along the border, ones that are engaged in those activities now, they're still going to do it," said William Wellman, Big Bend National Park's superintendent. "But you'd have to be a real idiot to pick the only place with security in 300 miles of the border to try to sneak across."

Childhood Memories

A couple of posts by Brock & The Feral Irishman have got me to remembering some of my childhood antics.  Step over to Brock's link to read about one of them.

Here is another that every time I remember it, I laugh at how I didn't kill myself growing up.

I grew up farming row crops and I loved to fish.  My Grandpa Myers (Mama's daddy) had a lake house about 30 minutes from the farm.  One day he pulled out some worm rods to get some fishing worms.

These were two rods that he had wired up and when put into the ground & plugged in, the electric field would run the worms to the surface.  Boy I thought that was cool as shit.

Now mind you I was 9 or 10 at the time.

So one day I was going to go fishing, and didn't hunt night crawlers the night before.  I thought I would be slick and get some like I saw Grandpa do.

We had a old TV antenna out back so I went and broke off a piece of it and took an old extension cord.  Wired it up I did.

I stuck it in the ground, plugged in the cord and waited for my bait to appear.  After about 5 minutes, no worms, so off I went for the shovel.  Dug my bait and went fishing.

Daddy drove truck to make ends meet and he was on the road right then.  He came home that evening and Mom was telling him that something was wrong as there was no power inside the house.

Well, 10 yr old boy's are not well versed in electrical things.  I had wired both ends of the extension cord to the ONE rod.

I blew not a simple round glass fuse, but one of the big shotgun style fuses in the old farm house we lived in.

Boy I got my ass tore up over that.  Almost as bad as when I set mama's hair on fire.  She was sitting in the kitchen and I decided to stick a pair of tweezers in the socket right above her head.

This was in the early 70's with big hair & lots of hairspray.

There were many good times growing up.  I look back and laugh.  Not a care in the world, but as to what I was going to play tomorrow.

Breaking News: Feds Falsely Censor Popular Blog For Over A Year, Deny All Due Process, Hide All Details...

 from the copyright-as-censorship dept

Imagine if the US government, with no notice or warning, raided a small but popular magazine's offices over a Thanksgiving weekend, seized the company's printing presses, and told the world that the magazine was a criminal enterprise with a giant banner on their building. Then imagine that it never arrested anyone, never let a trial happen, and filed everything about the case under seal, not even letting the magazine's lawyers talk to the judge presiding over the case. And it continued to deny any due process at all for over a year, before finally just handing everything back to the magazine and pretending nothing happened. I expect most people would be outraged. I expect that nearly all of you would say that's a classic case of prior restraint, a massive First Amendment violation, and exactly the kind of thing that does not, or should not, happen in the United States.

But, in a story that's been in the making for over a year, and which we're exposing to the public for the first time now, this is exactly the scenario that has played out over the past year -- with the only difference being that, rather than "a printing press" and a "magazine," the story involved "a domain" and a "blog."

Once again the yankee portrayal of the massa beating his slaves with a whip and the them being worked from sun up to sun down with no food or water, ad nauseum is a dead and stinking.

The Militarization of LEO: H2O Edition

I find it hard to believe that a 34' offshore style boat with triple 300 Mercs can operate effectively in 12" of water.  Then factor in the armored hull, associated load out.....OH and don't forget the 6 MG's.  That's right they need 6 M240B's on the boat.

The link has a video of it.

via KVUE

The solution is a new weapon aimed to stop smugglers and criminals before they reach Texas' shores. At 34-feet long, powered by three 300 horsepower engines and armed with six machine guns, the "JD Davis" resembles a military patrol boat.

The $580,000 shallow water interceptor can patrol in just 12 inches of water and is the first of a planned fleet of six such vessels comprising the newly-created Highway Patrol Tactical Marine Unit.
Each vessel will be named after a DPS trooper killed in the line of duty. Jerry Don Davis was shot and killed in 1980, and the first cruise of his namesake vessel was taken by members of his family.

The X Factor

Brock had a post yesterday on Emma West and the role women play in war.

History is ripe with the role that women have played in warfare, uprisings, revolts, etc..

There are just to many to list.

One that caught my eye was Boudica.  This warrior was the wife of Prasutagus, ruler of the Iceni tribe.  She led the uprising of the Britions against the Romans.

If you look to nature, it is always the female...the mother who protects the kids and she does so with a vengeance. Sometimes to the death.

So as we make plans and preparations to attend Texas PATCOM 2012 and Liberty Summit, make sure we include the fairer sex in these gatherings.

While she is pretty, smells good and nice to snuggle next to on a cold night.  Don't forget about the dark side in her.

If you anger her or threaten her children, she will cut off your nuts and smile doing it.

Make it a family event, you will thank yourself in the long run.

The March of the Beast

This video is an abstract way to look at what is going on today in our country.

The beast puts blinders on the sheeple.  Feeds them “feel goods” all day long as they continue the aimless march.

The beast will try to make more bots to feed himself.

Then along comes someone who has seen the light, knows what is beyond the darkness.

This is what Bill Nye, TL, Kerodin, CA and many others are trying to do.  To help you take off the blinders and deny the beast.

Bill has a great post from this morning on the planting of a seed.

All it takes is one person.  One seed.  One Patriot.

Shed the shackles.

It doesn't matter if it's by picking the lock, slipping them off or taking them off by force.

They are coming off one way or another.

Heed the warning beast, your days are numbered;  for we are legion.

The Beating of War Drums

UPDATE 12/9/11

Brock has an update to this story here .  It would appear that all is being handled "in house" and the one who reported this states that he will speak no further of this matter.

It would seem that once again the beast has shown his teeth and put the fear of death or death of family in their hearts.

I just left both people involved with the incident that took place in the last few days. The soldiers do not want to pursue this matter any further, in any way shape or form. I was advised that the situation is being dealt with inhouse and there will be internal investigations into the conduct of certain ‘officers’ who started the poll and ordered certain persons held. The person allegedly being held was only there for a couple of hours.

No punishment will be handed down to any of the soldiers involved. I cannot give any further information as to names dates reasons units or places. This is in respect to my friends here. If this upsets anyone I am sorry but this is the way the soldiers want it. You have my deepest apology and I truly wish I had never spoken about any of this with my friends here on or FB. I will be posting no more information of this type due to the repercussions which could come from this.

The below if from Brock @ Free North CarolinaKerodin had a post about the similar thing that occurred 1994 about the US military being used to confiscate firearms.

With the passage of S. 1867 and now this from Indiana, things are taking a very dark hue.  It would appear that the PTB are beating the war drums against the American citizens.

via FNC

From an old Alarm & Muster member from my area, Croatan District, NC
I have my ear to the ground and wanted to relay to you that:

National Guard troops in Southern Indiana were given a poll about bringing armed force against US Citizens if called to do so. A Spc laid his weapon on the deck and said he could not. The rest of the enlisted men followed suit. The Spc is now being held in the brig for his actions.

This is current out of the OathKeepers and in the process of being duly verified. Either way I wanted to shoot it your way as I know you like to relay that stuff far and wide. I'll try and give you better 5w's and H when and if it's verified.

=========
I grabbed this from a gentleman of our Facebook page.

Paul Lowe
OUTSTANDING!! I just left my neighbors house. Devon is with the National Guard for this area. He just got home from a EDRE (emergency deployment readiness exercise) at the armory. He said that during the exercise 3 companies of infantry were polled by questionare about the drill and it's purpose. One of the questions was, will you as a member of the Nat. Guard use lethal force against the American public if ordered to do so? One of the men stepped forward and refused to take the poll and explained that it was a moral judgement on his part and that he could not do so. He then placed his weapon on the ground and fell in behind the formation. Devon said it was like a waterfall, Every member layed their weapons on the deck and fell in beside the one lone specialist. This included ALL NCO's, STAFF NCO's and SENIOR NCO's. The only people left in front of the original formation was 3 Capt's. 2 Lt's and the BN Commander who was so upset he started having chest pains from yelling and screaming about court martials and disbandment of the unit into other units. Devon is a Mstr.Sgt and he went with his troops and told them that he could not be prouder of any of them. He was floating while he was telling me this. Maybe we have more than just hope on our side. SEMPER FI. my thanks for the honor of being here Robert.

=========
That first post was followed by a bunch of yeas from everyone happy to hear the good news. Next pertinent post:
I just heard from Devon. He was TX'd by his Plt LDR and advised that the Specialist Who first layed down his weapon is being held in county jail by the Bn CMDR, awaiting a hearing under the UCMJ. Devon couldn't get any more info than that. I don't want to post the mans name until we have more information. I am so upset by this that I am having chest pains. How can they do this to one soldier and not them all. I will let you know how things go. Think I might go lay down for a bit. SEMPER FI.

======
Nothing really pertinent other than those two posts and that the Oathkeepers Board of Directors are aware of the story in current form and efforts are now being taken to verify it. All the info right now is being gathered from a Facebook contact from someone on there. If I hear anything else I will surely let you know. If confirmed, a poll like this in conjunction with the NDAA bullshit that just passed makes it abundantly clear that offensive tyranny is coming down the pipe. Divide and conquer, division then desolation...looks like we are in for an interesting 2012.

Blogger < Jouranlist = No 1A

In Oregon, 1A has been trampled on by a US District judge.  It is his opinion that anyone that blogs is not a journalist and is therefore not protected under 1A.

All this because a blogger put out some damning, but true, details about someone and got sued.  Hopefully she and smarter heads will prevail in the appeal.

It seems the communist judge,  U.S. District Judge Marco A. Hernandez, was appointed by the illegal one now sitting in big seat.  It would appear that this could be a case of birds of a feather.....as he was born in Nogales, Az.

SOURCE
A U.S. District Court judge in Portland has drawn a line in the sand between "journalist" and "blogger." And for Crystal Cox, a woman on the latter end of that comparison, the distinction has cost her $2.5 million.
Speaking to Seattle Weekly, Cox says that the judgement could have impacts on bloggers everywhere.

the judge ruled that this single post was indeed defamatory because it was presented, essentially, as more factual in tone than her other posts, and therefore a reasonable person could conclude it was factual.

The judge in Cox's case, however, ruled that the woman did not qualify for shield-law protection not because of anything she wrote, but because she wasn't employed by an official media establishment.

From the opinion by U.S. District Judge Marco A. Hernandez:

. . . although defendant is a self-proclaimed "investigative blogger" and defines herself as "media," the record fails to show that she is affiliated with any newspaper, magazine, periodical, book, pamphlet, news service, wire service, news or feature syndicate, broadcast station or network, or cable television system. Thus, she is not entitled to the protections of the law

Cox tells Seattle Weekly that she plans to appeal the ruling by proving her assertion that Obsidian co-founder Kevin Padrick is guilty of bankruptcy fraud--a statement that, as Cox is quite proud of, is abundantly advertised if one simply Googles Padrick's name and sees the dozens of Cox's posts that spring up about him.
So there we have it.

A former veggie picker/dishwasher has drawn a line in the sand that anyone who blogs, is not covered under 1A.

Learning by Others Mistakes

Hehehehe

Other folks costly mistakes are useful ideas for others.

Then They Came

You don't think that what we talk about on the web, blogs & other such venues can't happen here in the good ol' USA?

Think again.  One of us had it happen to him.  AP has the link to this post about it.  His friend gives the first hand account of how the FBI used a SWAT team to arrest a witness, that right, and did not provide a warrant for it.

They just did their usual thing.  All in the name of the Government!

Arctic Patriot: It can't happen Here

And here straight from Joshua Bennet

This morning while I was working on a bid for a job, my phone quit working. I tried it a few more times and then thought about it for a minute and then asked my wife, is your phone working? It wasn't.

So I sat and waited.

Then they came.

I watched them scatter.

The Pavlov Factor

The History Channel has a new show coming called Off the Grid.  Name of the game is that 2 regular guys are hunted by a team of professional trackers.  If they they don't get caught in the process f completing tasks, then they win $1M.

America has 30 million cameras recording four billion hours of footage each week. Everyone is being watched. Now witness host and master tracker Kevin Reeve give two everyday Americans the chance to escape this surveillance and win one million dollars. Contestants race to complete simple tasks and evade Kevin and his highly-trained team of trackers hunting them down with cutting-edge technology for the largest prize in cable television history.
My bet is that no one will win. These "tasks will be engineered for them to be caught.  Just like "Son's of Guns" can whip out a triple M-16 or a quad MG-42's in record time.  The wonders of editing.

With History Channel having more than 93 million viewers each week, this show is nothing more than Pavlov was with his dog.

They are conditioning the masses of sheeple  to think "what's the use", if any of them think they can hide.
