The United States Special Operations Command, Technology Applications Contracting Office is seeking sources to design, develop, demonstrate, test, qualify, and produce a Transparent Ballistic Protection System (TBPS). In addition, this effort intends to procure production aircraft transparent armor panels and aircraft shipsets, perform aircraft installation, carry out ground and flight qualification testing, and support Government aircraft ground and flight testing of a TBPS for the Army Special Operations Aircraft (ARSOA) and Army Cargo Aircraft in accordance with the user requirements. This effort will be for the delivery of qualified production units. Ultimately the Government requires the produced units to be Air Worthy in accordance with Aviation and Missile Research Development, and Engineering Center/Aviation Engineering Directorate (AMRDEC-AED) Air Worthiness Release (AWR) requirements for ARSOA aircraft operations and Army Cargo aircraft operations.
