ReplyDeleteI've heard of these referred to as "steam niggers" before, since it performed brute, unskilled work with hot water vapor instead of muscle. I'm also aware of a salmon cleaning and filleting contraption that was called the "Iron Chink." Apparently there was once a trend to name machinery after the ethnic group whose labor it replaced.
