Personal Space and Body Alarm Response
I stumbled across these guys. they have some insightful articles that are good for beginners and for those that want to brush up on some things.

Yesterday morning while stopping at a gas station to put air in my tire, I was approached by a stranger. The first words out of his mouth were to ask “if I was from around here,” immediately sending me into condition orange.
I’d like to explain my statement earlier about condition orange and provide a brief example of the Cooper Color Code here for reference. We’ve previously mentioned Colonel Jeff Cooper here on ITS, in regard to his carry conditions and firearm safety rules, but he is also known for advocating a color code to describe a person’s state of mind. Not so much in regards to a level of alertness, but purely the mental state.
The following comes from his book, Principles of Personal Defense:
- Condition White – You are unprepared and unready to take lethal action. If you are attacked in White you will probably die unless your adversary is totally inept.
- Condition Yellow – You bring yourself to the understanding that your life may be in danger and that you may have to do something about it.
- Condition Orange – You have determined upon a specific adversary and are prepared to take action which may result in his death, but you are not in a lethal mode.
- Condition Red – You are in a lethal mode and will shoot if circumstances warrant.

Bank of America, the nation's largest banking institution, is under fire from a patriot group for various infractions, including a corporate stance against the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, according to Justin Combs of Arctic Patriot.
Combs is one among several concerned citizens who are circulating a declaration that calls on Americans to close their accounts, sell their stock, and cease doing any business at all with Bank of America.
While Combs states that Bank of America is not the source of the problem in the banking industry, it is a big part of it due to its sheer size and its willingness to throw its weight behind politicians who work to undermine the protected rights of the people as delineated in the Constitution.
Of particular concern to Combs and others who have signed the declaration is the bank's contention that gun rights are not consistent with its official Code of Ethics, according to the posting at Arctic Patriot.
Bank of America's top executives are donors to the Barack Obama campaign.
Among the infractions listed in the declaration is Bank of America's takeover of Merrill Lynch, for which it received $118 billion dollars in a government backdrop to purchase the rival corporation, and another $20 billion dollars from the taxpayers in a bailout in 2009.
According to the New York Times, the banking giant had already received a capital infusion from Treasury before taking the added $20 billion:
The second lifeline brings the government’s total stake in Bank of America to $45 billion and makes it the bank’s largest shareholder, with a stake of about 6 percent.In addition, the declaration states that Bank of America illegally foreclosed on the homes of active service men and women, for which it paid a settlement out of court in the amount of $20 million dollars.
According to Combs, the motivation for the group's actions against Bank of America is the belief that currently in the U.S. there is a fuzzy line that separates government from large mega-corporations, and that in order for the nation to return to its founding principles such a line must be clearly drawn that separates the two.
The unity and partnership of government and large corporations is one facet of fascism, a totalitarian system in which individual citizens have few rights in lieu of the collective rights of government and large business entities.
Another of the nation's largest banks, JPMorgan Chase, is also under fire for squandering at least $2 billion dollars within the last month, in spite of a massive government bailout in 2009.

Our actions to restore our nation to its original founding principles are coming to a crossroads. We have been divided in our efforts through an inability to focus upon one issue as a whole. Most of our efforts have been (and still are) focused on the 2012 elections and political ideologies. Our nation was founded on Liberty, not political power and agendas. We need a tangible goal now to show that patriots (not partisans) still control our destiny. One goal, one victory will show that We the People are in control of Liberty’s future.
We believe that the recent events surrounding the Bank of America can become this goal to win our first battle. This institution has decided that the 2nd amendment of the Constitution of the United States is not in line with their bank’s code of ethics. We understand that this amendment’s purpose was to protect us from an abusive government. It appears that they feel it may be used to protect us from abusive financial institutions as well. And they may be correct: the distinction between government and financial institutions in our country is gone.
The Bank of America is the country’s largest bank with assets of $2.3 trillion. This bank currently has $75 trillion in credit derivatives.
Here is a list of additional grievances:
This financial institution has been found guilty of laundering South American drug money in 2006 ($7.5 million settlement).
They received $20 billion in US Treasury support with an additional $118 billion government backstop to buy Merrill Lynch.
They failed to properly disclose employee bonuses and financial losses at Merrill Lynch before shareholders approved the merger of the companies: $150 million settlement with the SEC.
Bank of America Illegally Foreclosed on Active Service Members’ Homes. Settlement agreement was $20 million.
They paid $410 million to settle a class-action lawsuit affecting more than 13 million Bank of America customers who accused the bank of charging excessive overdraft fees for electronic transactions.
Bank of America moved approximately$18 trillion worth of derivative obligations from Merrill Lynch and the BAC holding company to the FDIC insured retail deposit division. This transfers the risk from the bank to the taxpayers since the FDIC cannot cover this amount.
The president will give his acceptance speech for the Democrat nomination for president at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
Warren Buffett injected $5 billion into Bank of America for special considerations for stock warrants and a 6% annual return for ten years. This bank's regular personal savings account pays 0.05% annually.
We propose the following actions to be taken immediately:
1. Close out any personal or business accounts with Bank of America.
2. If you are a business, do not accept their debit or credit cards for purchases.
3. Sell your personal stock in this bank.
4. If your retirement or mutual fund owns stock in this bank, request that they divest it from their portfolios.
5. Help spread this effort in any manner that you can.
No institution has maligned the principles and morality of our nation as the misnamed Bank of America. It is past time to stand up with actions instead of words.

A woman, who says she was blinded when a police officer used pepper-spray at close range, is speaking out for the first time.
Monique Hernandez has been blind since the Feb. 21 incident and doctors say she'll probably never see again.
Clark has been indicted by a grand jury on criminal assault charges and faces trial. His attorney says he acted in self-defense.

Residents May Lose Utilities for Unpaid Red Light Violations
The above pic is the Las Cruces,NM city council and mayor.
They and along with all the other executive staff of the city have found that red light cameras don't generate $$$ like what they were sold.
So they are trying to cut off the utilities of citizens to force them to pay for bullshit fines unto Caesar.

Residents of Las Cruces, New Mexico with outstanding red-light-camera traffic tickets are in danger of having their utilities shut off.
The fines are broken up between the city, the state of New Mexico and the camera company. The city is owed $600 thousand in unpaid tickets.
“We can’t go through the courts; it’s not that type of citation,” said Vigil. “We don’t have legal enforcement authority.”
So in these times of financial stupidity, why should the people suffer at the hands of tyrants?
Because they think they can get away with it.
If citizens would target the cause of this issue with some retaliatory actions, then they, the tyrants, may have some different views.

The FBI raided what it describes as a paramilitary camp in Osceola County over the weekend. Investigators told the media ten people were arrested on hate crime charges. The suspects are said to be members of the American Front, a white supremacist group. According to WFTV in Orlando, the group “is known as a domestic terrorist organization.”
“WFTV learned that investigators believe the group was involved in paramilitary training that included weapons like AK-47′s and they also trained in hand-to-hand combat for a coming race war,” the news station reports.
Fire Pistons & Other Primitive Ways
To create a fire using a fire piston, a small amount of tinder is placed in a cavity carved into the end of the piston. The piston is inserted a short distance into the cylinder. The cylinder is gasped firmly and the piston given a quick push or sharp blow with the palm. The piston is immediately withdrawn to reveal a smoldering ember in its tip. The ember is placed into a bundle of shredded bark or punk wood and blown into fame. With a small amount of practice, the entire sequence can be performed in well under 30 seconds.

Sing Your Song of Zion
Today we had a fill in preacher. He brought a message that opened me up to the core. That message was Psalm 137 which is below.
In it the Jews, while in a land foreign to them, had forgotten their songs, their freedoms and had such had hung up their harps on the willows and given up.
The Preacher said that there must be no retreat from the calling that the Lord has laid on our hearts. That no matter what we must fight to restore the Glory.
No retreat, No surrender.
God knew what I needed to hear today. That message did not fall on deaf ears.
So patriots, again we must take our harps from the willow trees and sing our song.

Texas Prison Rodeo
A post by Brock took me down memory lane this morning.
That led me to remember the Texas Prison Rodeo. This was a full rodeo from calf scramble to bull riding to bronc busting.
This was a big event here in East Texas. Inmates were selected form all the farms in the state and sent here to compete. They actually represented the Warden. There were no escape attempts during the rodeos.
The prion to the north of the arena is the Walls Unit. This is where death row was, until it was moved to Polunsky Unit, and is still where the executions take place.
My wife remembers going there and watching the prisoners compete to get a $100 bill tied to the horns of a bull. They would trek there as a whole family. All the aunts, uncles cousins, etc. The entire arena stadium would be packed. They always had big concerts during it as well, big names. She remembers one year Mickey Gilly did a concert.
The prion raised all the livestock for the rodeo. TDCJ still has a large active horse program. They raise & train the horses used in the field.
The Agribusiness Department maintains a horse herd in excess of 1,600 head. With the exception of approximately 120 head of stock horses, the balance is devoted for security purposes. Security horses are used by Correctional Officers for the outside work squads and canine program. A 120 head broodmare herd is kept at the Goree Unit for breeding purposes.
Nothing like some youthful nostalgia. Thanks again Brock.
