The Theory of Regenerating Oil

 A good article here on the sustainability of oil.  I have never been a believer in "Peak Oil" or is was from dinosaur corpses.  But I also am not a petroleum engineer, geologist or work in the oil industry.

NOTE THAT WHEN WE BURN CRUDE OIL, CO2 IS RELEASED TO FEED THE PLANKTON, TO PRODUCE MORE CALCIUM CARBONATE, TO PRODUCE MORE OIL... THUS CRUDE OIL IS A RENEWABLE RESOURCE.

Broiler Project Update

The other day I posted in Dorkfish Outlaw about my oldest daughters broiler project.

Well we are 10 days into it and the chicks have quadrupled in size (at least).  These are birds from Texas A&M Poultry Science dept.  They are bred to grow.  In another 5 weeks they will dress out at 7-8 lbs.

Here is what they look like now.

While these are not the normal Cornish X broilers you can but from a hatchery.  They are the ones that all the kids in Texas get for shows from the local county fairs to the majors like Houston & San Antonio.

A big plus, I found a guy around BCS (Bryan-College Station) who will butcher them for $2.75 ea. 

What a deal!!!!!

So anyone looking to put some nice home grown chicken in the freezer, look at broilers.  From chick to freezer is about 8 weeks.

White House calls fro removal of Rush from AFN

It looks like the Bitch House (White House) is calling for Rush to be barred from AFN.  They are circulating an online petition here for this.

It is not bad enough that he provides partisan blather, that he demeans our President.

His remarks this week were well beyond the pale of what should be broadcast to our military and their families, supported with our tax dollars.
We have a moral objection to our tax dollars being used for such a purpose.
You should move immediately to cancel any further broadcast through government facilities of his venom.
There is no excuse for the US Government, in any capacity, giving this man an audience.
It is an insult to the honorable men and women who serve this nation.

It has a good flavor with a touch of red to it with a nice good head.

Mild bitterness at first, but with hint of floral in the after taste.  Just a hint that comes up through the back of the throat into your nose.
