Obama Appoints Singer Shakira To White House Initiative On Education For Hispanic Americans

Okay, I’ll admit, I adore Shakira.

But even I have to wonder about President Obama appointing someone to a commission on “White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans” who. . .

A) is not a U.S. citizen, and thus, not, technically, a “Hispanic American” in the context as it is commonly used . . .
B) has had one short experience with college, consisting of one course at UCLA . . .

C) was described as an “absentminded” high-school student.

A True Storeytale

Ever wonder what would happen if so called “common sense” gun laws were taken to the extreme. What would you do if an intruder came into your home and you had to jump through bureaucratic hoops to defend yourself. This video explores that concept. This film is a protest to the expansion of “Nanny State” laws that are taking root in places like California, New York, Illinois, and Washington D.C. just to name a few. It’s just a matter of time before we are all wearing our state required helmets when we walk down the street.
The worst part is that I have friends who think that the gun control systems portrayed in this movie are reasonable and understandable. This scares the daylights out of me as they are the ones who would be voting for or against such systems.

Looks like more folks are jumping on the bad wagon to get rid of that bastard Holder.

Locked Up Tight

Looks like the asshole sitting in the White house wants lock up ALL his records so no one can see what he has committed.

So, it doesnt matter if he wears the one above or the one below.  He is still a whiny little bitch.

via PJ Tattler

According to Judicial Watch, Rep. Edolphous Towns (D-NY) has introduced the Presidential Records Act Amendments of 2011. That bill would do with Obama’s presidential records what Obama has already done to his personal and collegiate records: Seal them up.
This looks like a sign of surrender to me. Why seal up Obama’s records now, if you think he’s strong to get re-elected next year?

And, how many Solyndras and executive directives to punish various enemies may be lurking in those records?

Outside the Box

Sticking it to them with their own rules.  I wonder how long before the retaliation starts.

Short Barreled AR-15s are all the rage these days. They’re light, easy to maneuver, and the recoil from a 5.56mm NATO round is still negligible even with the reduction in weight. The only problem is that in order to get one you need to jump through the ATF’s hoops, pay a $200 tax, and tell them every time you travel with it. In short, it’s a pain. Franklin Armory recently announced a new gun that lets you have all the fun of an SBR without any of the paperwork by exploiting an interesting loophole in the law in a frankly genius way.

A rifle, legally speaking, is designed to be fired using a stock. This doesn’t have a stock and so doesn’t meet the definition. A pistol, legally speaking, is a weapon designed to be fired using one hand. Because this gun has a forward grip it was designed to be fired using two hands and doesn’t meet the definition. That allows it to be classified as an AOW or “Any Other Weapon,” but AOWs have to be less than 23 inches in overall length. This weapon is just a hair over 23 inches, and so falls out of that definition as well. Therefore it’s still a firearm, but not subject to the NFA. As long as you don’t carry it concealed, that is.
The ATF, in a letter to Franklin Armory, confirmed all of this legal stuff was true. That paved the way for them to start selling a gun specifically designed to meet those exact criteria, the XO-26b, and you too can own one for the low price of $1,149.99! Each one comes with a copy of the ATF’s letter, just in case your FFL starts giving you that quizzical look.
Or you could build one, I suppose.
Anyone want to take bets on how long it takes the ATF to reverse their decision?

Official in Charge of Green Energy Loan Program Resigns

Let's hope it comes down fast.  But with the GOP leadership & the checkbook man coming out with statements like the below.  Were screwed 9 ways to nowhere.

Source
Following Governor Christie’s announcement on Tuesday top GOP official and bundler Gerogette Mosbacher told reporters, “We do not consider Perry a factor… We know who will be our nominee.”
Race for 2012 reported:
Those words were spoken today by Georgette Mosbacher, RNC Finance Co-Chair and huge GOP fundraiser, after Chris Christie’s announcement. The “we” is all the big bundlers, fundraisers, and money folks who have been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the field to be set — and that quote represents the coalescing around Mitt Romney that is expected to happen rather quickly now. Mosbacher went on to say:

I think tomorrow, we’ll be contacting one another and probably put something together with Romney… And I would say that the race is now Romney and Obama. Quite frankly, the enthusiasm wasn’t there at the outset. He’s less conservative than a lot of us would like. However, our first and foremost goal is to defeat Obama. And we do believe Romney, in terms of independents, will be a strong candidate. We will coalesce behind him now… the time has come to get behind him… Tomorrow I’ll be on the phone all day. Quite frankly, it’ll be easier, because now we know who it is who will be our nominee. So we will pull our Rolodexes out and get to work.”

People are going to pay a lot of money to have their asses tracked to within a couple of meters by a device running a civilian version of DARPA’s soldier’s servant software.

S i R I.
SRI = Stanford Research Institute.

It turns out that Apple’s Siri used to be SRI’s Siri, and SRI’s Siri is…

Are you ready? A spinoff of DARPA’s PAL (Perceptive Assistant that Learns) program, which SRI called CALO (Cognitive Agent that Learns and Organizes).

SRI has dubbed its new project CALO, for Cognitive Agent that Learns and Organizes. The name was inspired by the Latin word “calonis”, which means “soldier’s servant”. The goal of the project is to create cognitive software systems, that is, systems that can reason, learn from experience, be told what to do, explain what they are doing, reflect on their experience, and respond robustly to surprise.

The software, which will learn by interacting with and being advised by its users, will handle a broad range of interrelated decision-making tasks that have in the past been resistant to automation. It will have the capability to engage in and lead routine tasks, and to assist when the unexpected happens. To focus the research on real problems and to ensure the software meets requirements such as privacy, security, and trust, the CALO project researchers will themselves use the technology during its development.

SRI is leading the multidisciplinary CALO project team, and, beyond participating in the research program, is also responsible for overall project direction and management and the development of prototypes.

Facts of Life

As TL said in his latest post

examine our inaction. We will not harass or bother the justices of the Supreme Court, who routinely betray the intent of  the Constitution because we will be thrown in jail. We will not stand up for liberty at the airport because we will be detained, miss our flight and perhaps be thrown in jail. We will not cause a ruckus in the House of Representatives because we will be thrown in jail. We will not attempt to interfere with the FED because we will be thrown in jail.
The groups that have started the attack on Wall Street are now branching out.

They do not fear jail, because most have nothing to lose other than being put in the cell and being having  lost a little time.  It is a badge of honor for them to be arrested in the name of "The Cause".  Why?  They are the teenagers, college kids, etc who don't have the hard decision to make that will effect the family that relies on them.  Take the stand or take care my family?

While many of want to take the hard stand and resist, we must choose to pick our battles and choose the time & method of our fight.

These are just the facts of life.

Don't despair or get discouraged.  The time is coming when the fight will be here for all of us.

Until then, resist ANY WAY YOU CAN.

Two employees of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and two others were arrested Tuesday in a $20 million bribery and kickback case that prosecutors say helped pay for the purchase of more than a dozen properties, Rolex and Cartier watches, fancy sports cars and hotel accommodations, first-class airline tickets and a trove of other personal luxuries.

An indictment unsealed Tuesday includes charges of bribery, conspiracy and unlawful kickbacks. The two Army Corps employees, Kerry F. Khan, a program manager, and Michael A. Alexander, a program director, received kickbacks in exchange for directing government contracts to a subcontractor specializing in software encryption devices and other information technology, prosecutors say. The men had the authority either to order products and services through government contracts or to secure funding for projects.

Consider Curtis' insight to the OathKeepers, here.

There are very few who truly want a Constitutional Republic and the ideal of Liberty as articulated by Jefferson.

Most have a personal agenda that is not necessarily what they present to the world.

OathKeepers is unquestionably one such group.  They have their agenda...don't assume it matches yours, whatever they put in their slick Membership brochure.

Remember, any active LEO must injure the Constitution every day he is on the job, even if he wears that OathKeepers tab on his weekend gun range fatigues.  The list of crimes for which he arrests people that are unconstitutional is very, very long.

The Empire

With the assassination of Al Awlaki by the sitting president,  much has been said regarding this being unconstitutional as he was not tried before a court before being executed.

This is just as Paul Roberts said.  They are in the midst of implementing their 30 year plan to set up the NWO, Agenda 21, etc or whatever name they want to call it..

From On-News, google translated:
Bartzokas George, Attorney-President of the Citizens' Movement - Borrowers, told newsbomb.gr said: "This is a historic decision, as it is the first court decision that removes 100% of the borrower's debt . handled flawlessly Article 8 paragraph 5 of N.3869, whereby the court clears the debt because the borrower is a long-term unemployed and has not even cover the minimum, both for itself and for dependents. Surely others will follow such decisions. "

The Court rejected the claims of the banks that loan, is not determined by "who" finds the amount for the cost of living and that of her family, although included in the notice of application data permanently prevented payment and the necessary documents.

"This decision of the district court Larissa is a victory of borrowers against banks, which, let's not forget, give consumer loans without guarantees. Act 3869 will ultimately vindicate the indebted households and especially those who are truly economically impossible debt repayment, as the unemployed and the economically disadvantaged, "says the newsbomb.gr o President George IKNA Lechouritou.

It should be noted that decisions issued by local courts for citizens who seek legal assistance following the failure of-court settlement increase exponentially. It is, in the overwhelmingly positive and achieves remission in 50-60%. For the first time, but a court decision provides the total debt cancellation.

Coming later today as dawn cracks in Greece, other things will begin to crack as well.

Hercules Headed to the Po House

Greece will miss a deficit target set just months ago in a massive bailout package, according to government draft budget figures released on Sunday, showing that drastic steps taken to avert bankruptcy may not be enough.
The dire forecasts came while inspectors from the International Monetary Fund, EU and European Central Bank, known as the troika, were in Athens scouring the country's books to decide whether to approve a loan tranche. Without that installment, Greece would run out of cash as soon as this month.

Big Ass Things

Damn!!! That is a BIG ASS FREAKIN power transformer.

It's 1200 kV.  That's right 1200.  Most of the power transformers that are in a substation near you range from 138kV-230kV.  Going to be put in Indian country. :)  As in the country.

This thing cost $330M

1200kV Transformer
Vijai Electricals' chairman and managing director, Jai Ramesh, handed over the 33MVA, 1200KV class, ultra high voltage power transformer to S K Chaturvedi, chairman and managing director of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.
To support the government's plan for augmentation of installed power generation capacity and corresponding transmission corridors, the country would, in the near future, need 1200 KV AC as next transmission voltage for bulk transfer of power of the order of 3,000 to 6,000 MW per line from power generation complexes in east and north east to load centres located in northern and western regions, the company said.
1200 KV AC would be the highest transmission voltage in the world and to develop this cutting edge technology indigenously, Power Grid Corporation of India took the lead to establish a 1200 KV test station at Bina in Madhya Pradesh with experimental line of 1.6 km. The transformer developed by Vijai Electricals would be installed at the substation
