Gift's of the Wise Men

While we all know what the gift's were that were presented by the three wise men when Jesus was born.

Rick H. writes about them in depth.  A very interesting and informing article.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

“When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh” Matthew 2: 1-2, 9-11, KJV.

Merry Christmas

I wish everyone a blessed Merry Christmas.

May we remember why we are able to celebrate this time of year.  That God loved his creation so much that he sent his Son to die for our sins.  And he did this willingly.

For with the Spirit of Christ in us the evil in this world can not flourish.  It cowers from His light in us.

I fear no evil for I have Him in me!.

John Ch 3

13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

DoJ employee, Stephanie Celandine Gyamfi Confesses to Perjury x's 3

I got nothing to go along with this.

Just more bullshit that we already knew was happening.

The time is getting close.  Harden your hearts.

via PJ Media
A career employee in the Voting Section of Justice’s Civil Rights Division has confessed to committing perjury, sources say.  The employee, Stephanie Celandine Gyamfi, reportedly told investigators from the Inspector General’s Office that she perjured herself during an inquiry into Justice Department leaks during the previous administration. Despite the admission, she has not been fired for criminal malfeasance. Indeed, it appears she has not been disciplined in any meaningful way at all.

The genesis of Ms. Gyamfi’s perjury is apparently rooted in political attacks on the Bush Justice Department.  Throughout 2005-2007, numerous attorney-client privileged documents, confidential personnel information, and other sensitive legal materials were leaked from inside the Voting Section to the Washington Post and various left-wing blogs.  One of the most prominent leaks involved the Voting Section’s privileged, internal analysis of the 2003 Texas congressional redistricting plan, which had been submitted to the Civil Rights Division in October 2003 by the State of Texas for review under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act.  As many readers may recall, the contents of the Voting Section’s internal memorandum appeared on the front page of the Washington Post on December 2, 2005, to great fanfare from Democrats on Capitol Hill and their surrogates in the liberal blogosphere.

At that point, she immediately broke down and confessed that she had lied to the investigators three separate times.  Since IG interviewees are all required to take an oath to tell the truth upon penalty of perjury, and investigators record all interviews, an audio recording of these admissions must exist in the IG files.  Mind you, Ms. Gyamfi did not say she misunderstood the questions.  She did not claim to have forgotten something and later remembered it.  Instead, she plainly admitted her deceit and ascribed her motive to attempting to protect the “other people” involved, i.e., the other career staff (mostly attorneys) who also violated their oaths of office and their professional obligations by publicizing confidential legal opinions and analyses.

Yep...

Not even a week gets gone and the shit hole gets a case of the flying shits.

Wave of Bombings Across Iraqi Capital Kills At Least 57

A wave of violence ripped across Baghdad on Thursday morning, killing at least 57 people and injuring nearly 200 in a coordinated attack designed to wreak havoc in the Iraqi capital just days after American forces left the country.

Iraqi officials said at least 12 blasts went off early Thursday morning in nine neighborhoods around the city. The explosions ranged from blasts from sticky bombs attached to cars to roadside bombs and vehicles packed with explosives.

We are at war and when you’re at war, you have to bring in soldiers

“I have called on the Governor to bring in the National Guard,” said Badon, asserting that residents were “more comfortable” after seeing the Guard patrol the streets in 2005 during Hurricane Katrina.

“We are at war and when you’re at war, you have to bring in soldiers,” said Badon, describing the situation as “urban warfare,” and complaining about people who own guns.

Here is the ass hat who wants a repeat of Katrina.  It's a tragedy that a baby was killed, but that doesn't the fact that these are common criminals.

So, the NDAA snowball is gaining speed.  Battlefield USA is soon to be knocking on our doors.

Wasteful Thinking

I know...I know.

This doesn't surprise anyone.  More FedGov fraud, waste & abuse.

What most of you don't know is that excess gov property & materials are sold.  Usually at 10%-20% of acquisition cost for serviceable items and 1-3% for unserviceable.  This will probably be sold as scrap (H7 condition) pricing.  Which is $452/ton.  This 27k tons of steel would go for $12,204,000.

That's 27% of acquisition cost.  Now factor in the storage cost and we are looking at 22%.  Yep free market rules don't apply to them.  No boards to answer to.  Ignore the share holders.

Wasted money.  Here are two links that are used to dispose of excess or unserviceable USG prop.  Stroll through them.  Some of this stuff is A1 condition.

DHS Spent $9.8M to Store $44M of Steel It Bought But Did Not Use to Build Mexico Border Fence

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a division of the Department of Homeland Security, has spent about $9.8 million to store $44 million in steel that it bought but did not use to build fence along the U.S,-Mexico border, according to a report from the DHS Inspector General.

CPB has in storage about 27,000 tons of “extra steel” that could be used to extend the estimated 650 miles of fencing mandated by Congress along the approximately 2,000-mile long southwest border, according to the IG.

An IG report released in November notes that in January 2008, the CBP -- a DHS component -- awarded an unnamed “prime contractor” a “Supply and Supply Chain Management (SSCM) task order” for storing and purchasing steel to support the construction of fence along hundreds of miles of the U.S.-Mexico border by Dec. 31, 2008 as part of the Secure Border Initiative (SBI) that was mandated by Congress.

This Little Light of Mine

How many of us have heard this popular children's church song?  It matters not if it was when we attended Vacation Bible School, or when our children did.

This past Sunday the lesson was from a passage in the book of Matthew Ch 5.  When we covered it in class, I was again struck by how many passages of the Bible have dual meanings.  It was when Jesus was talking to the disciples as he was preparing to feed & heal the multitudes.
13Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
I was struck by how this  ties to our Liberty movement.  We Patriots are the salt of the Earth.  If we do not challenge the darkness, we will lose our flavor and be trampled under foot.

Just like the songs says, we must let out light shine.  Not hide it under cover.  Let it burn bright.

that is just what we are hoping to accomplish during PATCOM 2012.  patriots will be gathering to meet and let our light of Liberty that God bestowed upon to SHINE.

WE WILL NOT HIDE.

WE WILL NOT COVER IT.

OUR LIGHT WILL CONSUME THE DARKNESS AS IT SPREADS.

When to Shoot the Colonels

SF Medic has a good post on the dichotomy of the military and who will & will not obey unconstitutional orders.

As far as the title goes, they are political appointee's.  So you make the guess.....you know they will CYA if the SHTF.  They are almost all chickenshits now days.

via SF Medic

Besides, if some uppity colonel out there decided to start authorizing instruction about when to shoot the colonels, you can bet that pretty quick the President would no longer be pleased. Because he or she would know where that path must ultimately lead. Which is why uppity colonels don't stay colonels for very long. Political appointees, my friends. That vision you have in your head of the noble military protecting your rights is just a dangerous fantasy. A fantasy you have to get rid of right now, before it gets you killed.

"But wait," you say, "I know Sgt. Soandso, and he would never go along with a gun seizure." Maybe not, but then again, you might be surprised. To "not go along" would mean that he has to violate orders. This violation would at the very least be a career-killer, or possibly get him shot in an extreme situation. Shot by who? By all the other sergeants who don't want to get shot, of course. After all, the colonel only needs a handful of sergeants who are in it for a career, and a raft of lieutenants, captains and majors who one day want to be colonels. For you to have your rights protected would require that a sufficient number of each of these decide, simultaneously, to put on the brakes. It is easier just to shoot you for resisting and go about their day. Say it again, "political appointees."

Want to have some fun? Walk up to any active duty serviceman you wish, shake his hand and thank him for his service. Then, before you release his hand, pull him toward you slightly, look into his eyes and tell him, "now when the time comes, don't forget what your oath really means." Do this ten times, and the reactions of that little informal poll will tell you everything you need to know. Having divested yourself of that little fantasy, maybe you will have a chance to survive that gun seizure for the real battle later. At the very least you will have looked into the eyes of some of the enemy, constituted of complacency and obedience, you may one day face.

The Difference of 150 years

150 years is a long time.  Many things happen in that span of time.  Some things never change.

The below is courtesy of Brock @ Free NC.  Money quote is right here.

“When the President determined on war, and with the purpose of making it appear that the South was the aggressor, he took measures,” etc.

Nevertheless, he asserted that “slavery was the cause of the war:” “And to strengthen, perpetuate and extend it was the object for which the insurgents would rend the Union even by war.”

It was the intemperate agitation in the North against slavery, the refusal to submit to the decision of the Supreme Court in reference to the territories, and the instigation to massacre encouraged through many years that caused secession. But secession was not war.

This was in letters from Lincoln;s secretaries.  Straight from the belly of the beast.

So ask your self.....

How much has changed in 150 years?

Prepare

Poke them in the eye

Resist

Do what ever, but DO NOT submit!

Pleasant Suprises

The wife went grocery shopping yesterday and brought me home a present.  Shiner Beer knocks another mix out of the park.

A very nice dark amber beer brewed with peaches & pecans.  Both of them are subtle undertones.

So good, just one isn't enough.

For those peeps who can't get Shiner....Don't fear, I'll drink your share.  :)

Role Call

As it looms over our heads that, the Politburo has decided to abort the Constitution with passage of NDAA.

So out of context is this that our enemies are asking WTF?

It now appears that the traitor, socialist, etc that is sitting in the Oval Office will sign the NDAA.

30 pieces of silver, I think not.  He/they enjoys this to much.

Again with this threat looming over us, there comes a point of when to ask "Where did they go?".  Some of us takes breaks from posting as real life intrudes on us.  One that we have not heard from for months is R. Sieker at Mental Pinpricks.  Don't know if something happened or not.  Emails go unanswered.

So from time to time, a role call  might be needed to make sure no one has been Houdini'd by TPB.

Names

What's in a name?

What happens when a product is renamed?  It's usually because it was crap and it wouldn't sell.

What happens when a company renames?  Usually not much.  They got bought out, had to restructure because of financials, etc.  No biggie.

But what happens when the rename...I mean rebrand themselves after a scandal.

Ah the light comes on a little brighter now.

After all that has gone on in the USA in the last week with NDAA and the drone thing in N. Dakota and this and that.  Or HERE or HERE or HERE.

Do I need to keep going?

Well you get a big stinky pile of horseshit.

It doesn't matter what you cover it with.  It stinks like horse shit under it all.

So like I posted earlier about False Beliefs.  Don't think for a minute you are exempt.

Lost Traditions

I was talking with Bill Nye this morning about butchering hogs.  It reminded me of all the old traditions being lost.

Today, most kids if they are asked where meat comes from they will say the grocery store.  They have not a clue as to how it gets to that point.

My wife grew up more hick-i-fied than I did.  When she was 6 or 7, was her job to scrape the hair off of hogs that were being processed.  You had to do that so you could render out the lard.

They didn’t use a 55gal barrel.  Her Pappy had a 150gal cast iron kettle.  They would lower one side of the hog in, let it set and while the other sitting they would start scraping.

Can you imagine the horror of CPS if the saw a 6 year old using a 12” razor sharp butcher knife.  OMG!!!

Once they split the hog open, the casing was pulled out and taken to the creek to be washed out for sausage.  The head was cracked open for hogs head cheese.  The whole animal was used.

The same went on with deer.  At the end of the day all the deer were strung up from the 7 family hunters and the processing line began.  Again all were used.

The same thing with ducks, rabbits, squirrels, chicken, etc.

One delicacy was the squirrel brains.  My wife would remember her Granny sitting down with a plate of squirrel heads and a small metal mallet.

WHACK…WHACK…slurp.  I don’t think so.

The traditions of our ancestors are a treasure trove of information for us.  All we need to do is take the time to talk to them.  Let them mentor us.  I have also found that used book stores are a good hunting area for old books that cover these things.

Irregardless of how & where we learn them, we must not let them die.

Texas Group Sues to Allow Confederate Flag License Plates

Just like Brock said they would.

via The Blaze
The L.A. Times reports the Texas division of the group called Sons of Confederate Veterans, a 30,000-member group out of Tennessee, is now filing suit saying the state DMV infringed on the group’s right to free speech by rejecting their plate.

“The 1st Amendment clearly protects controversial speech,” the group said in a statement to the Times. It cited the DMV board’s approval of a plate that “is offensive to Native Americans” because it honors the Buffalo Soldiers, the all-black cavalry that fought Native Americans in the 1800s.

“The board seeks to bar the Texas SCV from expressing their viewpoint while allowing all other groups to express their viewpoint. This type of restriction is exactly the type which the 1st Amendment is designed to erase,” the statement said.
